India has one of the youngest population demographics in the world, yet the percentage of youth enrolled in post-secondary education is at par with other developing nations. According to All India Survey of Higher Education report, India’s enrollment ratio is at 27% significantly behind China at 51%. Even when it comes to worldwide university rankings, India’s top universities rank north of 350. During the pandemic, universities were forced to pivot digitally. This also birthed many digital universities. Their teaching methods are less traditional, and more so, the courses they offer focus on enhancing employability.
